Children can use these giant characters in their small world exploration, creating story lines and narratives as they develop their early literacy skills.
A collection of figures in dark, medium and light wooden tones to fit together with Giant Small World.

These beautiful characters can fit into the Giant Wooden Car making transportation and movement part of their play. There are so many exciting and narratives than children could create, from well known stories to films, poems and rhymes. Emotional regulation is an area of development during play, as children can recreate events and scenarios from their own lives that have purpose and meaning. Children act out these events to help make sense of their world and their emotions. Offer plenty of support by naming emotions and helping them work out managing these feelings. There large size enables children to work on their physical development with ease, stretching out their hand muscles and working on arm movements. This will all support their ability to hold mark making equipment as their hand muscles have had plenty of opportunities to grow and develop. Enhancing early years education, these giant wooden peg people boost storytelling and scenario creation, fostering social and emotional development. Teachers will find them ideal for expressive arts, encouraging children to invent narratives.

These figures support the EYFS curriculum by fostering communication and language skills. By encouraging children to take on different roles and develop narratives, they cultivate essential language skills and boost confidence. The open-ended nature means they can adapt to various scenarios, encouraging language dynamics through diverse play settings.

Additionally, these figures aid in understanding the world. As children use the figures with props, puppets, and books, they notice and discuss similarities and differences. Such play supports cognitive development and nurtures empathy and social awareness, building a solid foundation for learning.
