Designed to spark curiosity, strengthen early reasoning skills, and support emerging STEAM learning from the very start. These tactile wooden shapes glow softly when activated, inviting children to look closely, shake, rotate, and explore.

Product Description

Beautifully crafted wooden light-up shapes to encourage young children to explore colour, light, and pattern through hands-on sensory play.

These light-up wooden shapes have been created to support children's natural curiosity about how the world works. When children pick them up, turn them over, or place them against different surfaces, the internal lights illuminate the colourful loose parts inside, encouraging close observation and exploration. This simple cause and effect relationship forms the foundation for scientific thinking. What happens when I shake this? Why does the colour change? How do the pieces move?

The shapes offer rich opportunities for schema play like trajectory, rotation, enveloping, and orientation as children test ideas with their hands and eyes. The warm glow creates a soothing sensory experience, making them ideal for calm spaces, cosy corners, and moments of self regulation. When used together with other shapes, children naturally begin to compare size, shape, colour, movement, and sound, building early mathematical language and reasoning without adult direction. Made from smooth wood with a child safe light, these are durable resources designed for real settings. Whether used in baskets, on light tables, in small world play, or as part of provocations, they support communication and language, problem solving, and imaginative thinking through open-ended, hands on discovery.
